Shaun Edwards

Did anyone notice he was asked to pick his greatest XIII from those he played with at Wigan in the Sunday Times yesterday? For the record this was his team:-

1) Lydon
2) Gill
3) K Iro
4) D Bell
5) Offiah
6) Edwards (obviously)
7) Gregory
8) Skerrett
9) Dermott
10) Platt
11) West
12) Farrell
13) Hanley

Some interesting omissions, but I imagine he would say Fergie, Kenny and Miles didn't do much more than part of a season and the others made longer term contributions. Betts you could argue is unlucky but you can't really grumble at Faz and Westy. I imagine Brendan Barr is feeling a bit miffed though

I would agree with his selection for th most part and for that reason and he has managed to get both Faz and Hanley in the side !!

I may drop Gill for Lydon on the Wigan and put Connolly at FB.

In particular his front row is spot on in my opinion as Dermott remains for me the best hooker we have had at the club since I have watched the game. Mind you I liked a few of the forwards from a slightly earlier era as well in Kiss, Potter and Case.

Brendan Barr, now there's a name I haven't heard for a long time.

I believe it took him quite a while to come to his final decision, he was wasn't sure whether to go with Andy Platt or Neil Baynes

I know it's highly unlikely :o but did anyone see to the interview with Shaun E prior to the Leicester-v- Wasps game on Sunday?

He spoke about defending the advantage line "with vigour". This was exactly what his team did and was a major factor behind Wasps success. Coupled with this you could see he'd been getting the players working on set piece plays, its obvious the guy has a rugby brain and commands the respect of his players. One day it would be nice to see him bring some of that innovation back to Wigan. Has he ever spoken about a coaching job in League?

It's a total travesty that he's left out Harvey Howard and Brett Goldspink at the expense of charlatans like skerrett and platt!! :o

Does anyone know what role Sean has at Wasps.I was under the impression it was head coach yet Ian Mchehan was in shot a lot.
