Lydon back in Rugby League

This is from the Guardian. I wondered what people on here think about that fact that he's looking for a way back into our game.

Joe Lydon has returned to the game with Harlequins in the hope of forging a new career in club administration after a seven-year absence in rugby union.

Lydon, the former Wigan and Great Britain outside back who resigned as the Rugby Football League's technical director in 2000 to work for the Rugby Football Union, coaching England's backs from June 2004 until he was removed in May 2006, has joined the sales and marketing department at the Stoop on a part-time basis.

"He's grafting, because he wants to learn the trade of running a Super League club," said the Harlequins chairman, Ian Lenagan. "We're not doing this purely for our own benefit because we feel it's good for the game as a whole to have an intelligent man like Joe back involved. He's got a lot to offer rugby league and as he still lives in the north that may well be with a northern club in the future. But we're happy to have him on board for now."

About time one of our games greats came back. Lets just hope it the start of more returning. Good luck Joe and welcome back.

Don't know why he thinks he needs to learn how to run a club to be put in charge - it's never been part of the criteria up until now!
