RFL Credibility

Post by tex »

We desperately need a credible governing body, fans from all clubs are clearly unhappy with the implementation of policy from the RFL.

The lack of clarity has now resulted in hundreds of arguments and counter arguments which are totaly over shadowing all the good things our sport has to offer.

The RFL are trying to administer tight finacial controls, the result is that the most important rescource we have youth development is be hit hardest.

However information taken from the RFL annual report available on their web site states the following

Income 2005 £12,815,000 Income 2006 £10,894,000
Salary to (Highest paid Director)
2005 £138,000 2006 £152,917

What credible case can be made for a 10.8% pay rise against falling revenues?

Then to rub salt in administer policies that cap the salaries of our elite players and damage the youth development.

It is time to sort out this mess so we can get back to promoting the sport we all love.
