Catalan had an 80% completion rate v Wigan and all the field position / possession in the first half. Yet they looked out on their feet in the second half when Wigan put 20 minutes of reasonable RL together. This was on a normal RFL ground. Wembley is no place for players lacking fitness, nor is it a place you can play percentage rugby league and get away with a win. Saints will trounce them and records may fall such as number of tries scored by a player in a final. An outside back from Saints will get the Lance Todd, Wellens, Pryce or Gidley.

The wires new pitch is the same dimensions as the old wembley (I imagine thats not much different than the new one) - one of cullens masterstrokes at getting the wolfs ready for their many final appearances :). Also, Sheffield did quite well in 98 at Wembley.

Having said that, I think Saints will get 40+ to about 12 , although stranger things have happened than a Cats win...

Mike the dimension may well be the same BUT the arena / atmosphere and importantly the quality of the playing surface will all suit Saints. I thought the Halliwell Jones pitch was poor. Had the mower broke down :conf:

Mark my words. Saints will destroy them and it will be awful for the game despite what the media are saying about this being great for French RL blah blah.

Your sounding more like a troll with every post, it's great to see new countries introducing Rugby League and it’s great for the sport in general.

I don't doubt that the poster is a troll...

However Matalan were introduced so that Sky could maximize their income from RL by selling coverage to france - that is why a second club is being considered.

I can't see how a couple of clubs is going to spark a RL revolution in france where the main sports are soccer and RU. You may say that it has to start somewhere - well why not Russia? - they have been playing for a while and RU is no bigger than league over there.

Before RL "captures the world" it needs to capture GB. London aside there are no clubs outside the heartlands and RU is fastly expanding. Why not try Cornwall or Scotland - why not help the Celtic Crusaders sign Stacey Jones? Answer - TV rights and no additional money for Rupert Murdoch
