Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

What is the point of "on report"

Post by GeoffN »

Stuart Cummings' column on the RFL site:

http://www.therfl.co.uk/about/page.php?id=232&areaid=54

The tackle on Malcolm Alker was not placed on report by Ashley Klein. However, the Match Review Panel, who look at all the engage Super League games on a Monday and have the power to refer any incident to the Disciplinary Committee, decided Makali had a case to answer.

So, what purpose exactly does the "on report" procedure serve, if the Committee look at the games anyway?

Same as contacting them. I asked about a couple of insidents re semi final. The RFL can only coment on league games. IE they do what they want as long as they get the money.hc
