NEW SHIRTS AGAIN! (wots the point)
why do we keep swapping shirts over and over again we are gonna end up like man u and with the prospect of a new sponser next season we will almost certainlly have a crappy patrik shirt next season which is very disturbing seein as though i think adidas have been good sponsers to us although i would prefer a proper RUGBY shirt! please tell me what u think. -shaun-

Shirts
The reason for not having Adidas next season is bascially because of the poor quality of shirts this season. Dave Whelan had to send the shirts back to the makers twice last year due to a very low standard. He then (because of the delay) reduced the shirts by £5. However, I know a lot of people who have had to take their shirts back to JJB's because of faults with them. This isnt good enough.
Dave Whelan I believe owns Patrick and that is the reason for swapping the sponsorship to them.
The problem with proper Rugby shirts is the price of them. I bought an Oz shirt and it cost me £55. That is a difference of £15 compared to the replicas that we have.
And remember, no-one is being forced to buy the shirts.

new shirts
i think its a rip off. whelan is a money grabbin **** who doesn't care about the fans. in 2 seasons we've had a black shirt, new home shirt, blue shirt and now a new home shirt again? thats ?160 worth.

people will always buy the shirts because they want to support wigan, but its no reason to start takin the mick.

money grabbing
When Maurice came in he said there would be 2 seasons between each change of shirt. If its true that WHelan does own Patrick, its pretty obvious whats happened here isn't it? Whelan is pretty ruthless when it comes to business, he's not one to miss a marketing opportunity.
Personally, I've not had any trouble with my kit, its survived several washes (already!) and I actually think its one of the best we've had for ages. Last years was pretty good too.
The one thing I would like to see if we change kit again, is a new bright blue away kit. I just don't like the black or dark blue ones we've had for the last 2 years. A blue version of the home kit is what I'd like to see, or even a return to the old skool white with a blue V? What do you reckon?

i agree
Mike i agree with you about everything apart from i would love to see wigan have a proper rugby shirt but if you think about the price it puts you off.BUT if there is a 2 season guarentee on the shirt you would save money cos its 40quid for a shirt now and we have two a season thats 80 per season *2 seasons =160quid . if you go the proper shirt way you get an excellent quality shirt for a lot cheaper i rekon it would work out about 120-130quid for 2 sesons. and you could be proud of your shirt aswell. p.s. i think the ausie shirts are so expensiv cos u hav to pay import tax on them and shipment and all that crap.
