Same thing crossed my mind when I read it. He was drumming up supposedly neutral fans against us for the semi and now wants us to support him and his team.

I did think about that - however there would doubtless be many Wigan fans there (because less face it, the combined supporters of both clubs equals less than 20K)

I for one am supporting the Cats, but then I have always been an expansionist,unlike the supporters of other clubs who live all their sad lives within the bounds of the M62.

I live in the south - and I'm not supporting the french.

If expansion is such a great idea then surely they should have their own fans and not be relying on sending current players to their old clubs begging the fans to support them? I support Wigan - I don't care about stains, les cats, wire etc etc.

Personally I have nothing against expansion (although I confess I am not particularly keen on expanding outside of these shores) - however I believe it should be for the good of the game - not for the good of the RFL's pockets.
