How Many Times.......
How Many Times.......
Have Harlequins had Ben Thaler as either a referee or a video referee over the last few weeks?
If I remember rightly since Thaler was the video referee at Wakefield v Harlequins, they have had him ever since.
I am just asking this because Harlequins have been given Thaler as a referee again - yes again.
Mind you aren't we on a similar run with Ganson and Klein??

If it really means that much to you, why don't you look for yourself (at all the Quins match reports) instead of asking someone else to do it for you?turf posted:

No idea, but I do know that the penalty count in the 'Quins versus Wigan game was 8-7 in Wigan's favour.GeoffN posted:

Drifting slightly off-topic, did you read this bit from Clarkey's column?:robjoenz posted:No idea, but I do know that the penalty count in the 'Quins versus Wigan game was 8-7 in Wigan's favour.GeoffN posted:

...What I do know, and I'm not blaming Mr Cummings or the referees, is that since Super League officials became full time employees of the RFL, the average number of penalties in a match has risen dramatically. For the last few years a typical game in Super League had about 14 penalties in it. This year that has shot up to 24. We're going to take a detailed look into this at Sky Sports and will discuss it in more detail on Boots 'n' All later in the year.

Re: How Many Times.......
I'm quite suprised by that... I've thought this season that the number of penalties for more minor offences has decreased, it's been more apparent to me that players are being given more warnings before being penalised. Whether that's just my understanding of officiating and reading referees getting better I don't know.GeoffN posted:
