So did I but it would have been a bad move to present it at the JJB!ancientnloyal posted:

If they had presente it at the JJB it would have caused a riot outside that north stand.

Because 20,000 Wiganers would be baying for the blood of whoever agreed to it!mike binder posted:

I thought they had a cheek at first but in fairness I suppose it would have been the correct time to present it and they'd have loved it because it would have rubbed more salt in our wounds! The more I thought about it I decided it would have been ok after all as they could have waited until 10 minutes after the match and then presented it to them - we could all have got the hell out of there and it would have been interesting to see how many Saints fans would have stayed.

They desereve to be presented with the Shield at JJB as thats the last league game of the season.
A few times at Anfield the like of the 70's Leeds and recently Manchester United have won the League title and been given a standing ovation. Its a mark of respect to the best side in the league. Sometimes just sometimes a bit of humility goes very far.

I understand what you are saying. Did we start the pettyness. How petty is sending a player {Higham}to Bradford so as not to sell to us. Sauce for the goose i think.
