Congratulations to Leeds, outplayed Saints in large parts. well deserved title this year

even though we beat them 3 times and our steam blew out on the 4th attempt

what may have been... i'd be singing Saturday Night At The Movies, Denis Betts style on the way to Victoria train station if we'd won that tonight

In essence Wigan's grand final elimination matches started against Stains, last game of normal season. With that in mind, we played more competative games than any other team in the run in. The combination of the two away games at Bradford and Hull, took alot out of the lads, as these games were as competative as they come. Leeds battered stains in the original final Eliminator, which left Stains with nigling injury doubts, altough Leeds came out pretty unscathed. In the Semi Final, Leeds were the far fresher of the two teams, and it showed, although we did make some schoolboy errors in that match. I totally agree with you, that if Wigan had played Stains tonight the cup would have been on its way to the JJB. If we are lucky enough to get some decent back up in playing personnel, in key positions, stay clear with the cap, there is no reason why it cant be us next season, and I'll have a drink to that. Cheers.
