Wayne Bennett resigns
Brisbane Bronco's head coach Wayne Bennett has publicly announced that as from the end of the 2008 season he will no longer remain at the Broncos, he has asked the Bronco's board to accept his resignation and they reluctantly agreed.

Wonder who he will coach in the 2009 season?
This is Wayne's official statement:

It appears he does want to carry on coaching.

i think he will go to new zealand, they have publicly come out saying they want him and he has not denyed it and now he is resigning at the end of the season it looks like he will take over there, noble will stay here and anderson will want to coach in australia i think.

After the Gary Kemble debacle, the NZ board has changed its rules regarding overseas coaches.Mr Stu posted:

Hence their approach for Wayne Bennett. Strangely, they are also rumoured to be interested in bringing back Leeds coach Brian McClennan!
The ruling that anyone couldn't coach a club as well as an international side has been rescinded by the Kiwis too.

I would not like to see him coach Saints as I believe he is an outstanding coach. The NZ job, latest word is he would rather act as a consultant to a NZ born coach.

I think they will approach Justin Morgan, I said this last year when Anderson said he was definately going back to OZ,
Also he is Andersons brother-in-law I know that doesn't mean anything but that is my opinion.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.

that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
