Re: SIR BOBBY ROBSON SUNDAY MA...
When we finished our season last year the pitch was fine, as someone mentioned in another thread "you could have played crown green bowls on it", This guy should check the facts before opening his gob, he's made himself look like a pratt.
Every one i know said how bad the pitch was before our season started so how could it be the rugby that made a mess of the pitch when we had'nt played a single game on it?.
I'm just about sick of all these so called experts blaming our team for the state of the pitch. idiots the lot of them.

Well, I can't get it to let me post a comment, so here's what I was trying to say. If anyone feels like pinching it and can post it on the rag's page, feel free:
"It's hard to know where to start in correcting Sir Bobby on this subject, so many are his mistakes and false assumptions.
When Wigan Warriors played their last game on the JJB pitch in 2007 it was September and the pitch was in great shape - so much so that it was commented on during the TV coverage. By the time they played their next match there, a full five months later, it was a mess. The Warriors have played only two games there this year.
The fault lies not with any sport but with the original pitch, comprising grass and plastic, which did not drain properly. This is now compounded by more turf being laid on top - which is unable to develop an adequate root system.
Oh, and Wigan Athletic are powerless to throw anybody out
- they and the Warriors are equal lessees of a stadium owned by a separate company.
