Bennett fights to save his career

Post by josie andrews »

Injury is threatening to end the career of Saints' long-serving second row forward Mike Bennett.
Bennett, who made his senior debut against Wigan Warriors in March 2000, dislocated his shoulder during Sunday's tough and bruising encounter against Hull FC at the KC Stadium and is expected to undergo major surgery.

It will be the third time he has required an operation on his shoulder and is a similar kind of injury which led to his former team-mate, Aussie Jason Hooper, quitting the sport last year.

Don't wish any player injury
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
