JJB Stadium Name Change?

Post by cpwigan »

As we all know JJB are not renewing their sponsorship with Wigan RLFC. However, the WEP mentions that they are also willing to relinquish sponsorship of WAFC and that the stadium naming may be looked at also.

Cheers. If you get the WEP, it is on the Latics page about 3 pages in from the back page.

I would definitely start by removing the flags outside the ground labelling it "FORTRESS JJB", just to avoid further embarassment.
“Usually the fans that abuse players like Sam have never done anything of any note themselves. They’re nobodies, whose greatest claim to fame is abusing someone who has, and these so-called ‘Eddie the Experts’ pretend to their mates that they have."

Haven't JJB closed something like 75 stores Country-wide? With the economic "downturn", hitting the general population, it is the non-essential items that are "cut-back" on first. Could this be seen in the clothing (and to this point) sports retail industry?? :doz:

I have said this at the game too - would FAAAR prefer a player in the Number 18 shirt

I think the company who bought JJB are closing down the JJB stores and replacing them with another company they own.

If JJB stores are closing for what ever reason it is more likely they will end the sponsorship deal with Wigan Athletic and the JJB stadium.
