GREATEST TEAM IN WIGAN WARRIORS HISTORY

Post by THE 18th Man »

wigan is the most successful professional sports team in the world ever. and there are many players that have madde that ( i wont name them all because if i did i will be here til next season but). But i want you to name your favourite team (the players can be from any era for e.g. you could have radlinski and Boston in the same squad)

have fun :)

You can probuble tell i was born in 85 and have seen every one of the above play for wigan at some point.

I was not lucky enough to seen boston and Kenny play. Thats why they have not made it into my team.

The players that came close were: Hampson, Richards, Barry john mather, Bell,Dallis, Greogory, Botica, Platt, McDorrmot, C Smith , Hock, Cassidy and Lydon. that could be another team.

from this sites' feature on My Best Team I compiled when i joined in 2006:

Radlinski, Robinson, Tuigamala, Bell, Offiah, Botica, Edwards, Skerrett, Dermott,Lydon, Platt, Clarke, Farrell, Gregory, Hanley, Boston, Sullivan

The first 15 upto Gregory, give or take a few years were generally THE team I watched week in week out home and away and why I love Wigan RLFC. I remember Hanley albeit he would come at the beginning of my list; radlinski at the end but as a junior he was awesome, not least because he coached me at primary school on one of those community things when he was in the A.

Barrett wouldn't fit in.

Boston - nothing to say really I could write an essay...

Jim Sullivan purely s the name that crops up in the record books which to me means an era for Wigan where we were Great after players like Leytham and todd before him.
