High tackle v trip
not backing mathers one little bit, we won't miss him if he gets banned. but how is it he gets cited for a trip yet demitrou gets a no charge for a high tackle which in the wifes words lifted feka off his feet. scummings and his idiots want to get these things sorted fast before someone gets seriously injured.

Re: High tackle v trip
Thought exactly the same thing about that tackle if a Wigan player (Mathers/McIlorum) had done that it would have been an automatic red card.WESTCUMBRIARIVE RSIDER wrote:not backing mathers one little bit, we won't miss him if he gets banned. but how is it he gets cited for a trip yet demitrou gets a no charge for a high tackle which in the wifes words lifted feka off his feet. scummings and his idiots want to get these things sorted fast before someone gets seriously injured.
It must have had some force in it to lift Feka off his feet, but then again he got straight back up and didn't do an academy award performanceThis is how it is worded on the RFL website
Incident considered High tackle in the 62nd minute
Decision No charge
Details of Charge /
Reason for NF Initial contact unclear.
Not aggressive arm.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

the High Tackle looked worse then the McIlorum tackle againest St Helens.
If it was on sky it may have had better anagle and would have been banned but the RFL should not stand behind that excuss.

Re: High tackle v trip
A trip is a deliberate act of foul play, a high tackle could be deliberate or accidental.

Re: High tackle v trip
i also thought a trip was an automatic sending off, like the steve hampson incident in the 90's
Re: High tackle v trip
It was then. They altered the rule though late 90'sWESTCUMBRIARIVE RSIDER wrote:i also thought a trip was an automatic sending off, like the steve hampson incident in the 90's
