Gilmour stretchered off !!

Post by Joanne2809 »

I was proud to be a Wigan supporter on Friday night watching our lads beat Stains !!(St Helens!!) :) :)

When Lee Gilmour was stretchered off all the Wigan Spectators stood up and applauded Lee. Would the Stains supporters do that for one of our lads ?? NO, my 13 yr old Nephew was telling me that the Stains supporters were singing a 'SICK' joke about Mike Gregory and his illness, which I would not repeat to anyone, it is disgusting !! No instead they shouts taunts about Andrew Farrell, and then make up a sick song about Mike Gregory. They are a disgrace to rugby league !

I hope that Mike gets well soon and I am sure that beating Saints on Friday was the best medicine for Mike !!!!
Hope Wigan can keep up the good work ! They were awesome ! :D :D

yeah i no what you meen about the saints fans! i just think that milwards brain washed them all! and am sure that most of the saints fans would stand and clap one of our players off, if it would have happend to one of our lot! but its like every team in what ever league or what ever sport! thay have a few fans that are idiots! its just the way it is! but the majority of people that watch rugby are desent people! i have lost count of the times i have had arguments or been hurling abuse at away fans! then after the game been sat in the pub having a pint with the same person? and its well out of order laffing at somebody who as a illness as serious as mikes! but them people are just narrow minded p##ks! i no am in for some stick by posting thin but hey! i dont realy care!

I too was proud to be a Wiganer on friday night with the response our fans made to Gilmour being stretchered off. I was also proud of Andy Farrell and the way he stood by Gilmour's side whilst he was being attended to. Where was Sculthorpe (his own captain) whilst all this was going on?

Exactly where was Scumthorpe (Paul Sculthorpe!!) their own captain, checking on his player ensuring that Gilmour was ok ? Just shows Stains fans what a REAL man Andrew Farrell is !!! Not like the Stains players !!!

They should think twice about giving Andrew grief shouting abuse at him all the time !!!! WEIRDO's plastic scousers !!!!

Actually to be fair neither set of fans were particularly good sports on fri night, think this had a lot to do with the ref though.
When the stretcher came on there were a lot of fans cheering, at this point i wasnt exactly gutted about a saints injury myself (sorry i know its disgusting) but id just seen lammy almost knocked out and nothing done about it and then two minutes later saints got a penalty.
Did clap him when he went off though, Im not that much of a bi**h
