Sham of a club

Post by cornwall drive warriors »

It's bad enough that we lost a second match, but the fact that we couldn't go is even worse, our 15yr old daughter's away voucher had not arrived on friday, why they could not have been sent out with the the other 2 voucher books, which did not even come out together, is beyond me. When I called the ticket office on Friday, I was told they had only received them within the last week, and had tried to call me and left a mesage on the telephone (on Thursday) and before they sent them they wanted to see proof of birth as she would soon be reaching 16, the fact that we have produced this proof in the past, they do not have that on record (WHAT A SURPRISE) They could not understand that I would be at work, and it would be impossible for me to go home pick up childs proof of age, get to the JJB and then to a match in Hull by 8pm. Were they bothered - not at all.
It is just another event in a poorly run club.
We ordered 2 pink shirt's as Xmas presents, we rang the shop on Tuesday before Xmas, and offered to go to the shop and wait until the delivery arrived, we were told that the shop although was waiting open for the delivery they would not be open to the public, (we do know of somebody who does not work at the shop who ws there), and that the shirt would be hand delivered by somebody from the club the following day (how fantastic), Xmas eve, we stayed in all Xmas eve, did the shirts arrive - NO, no Xmas present, they did arrive the Saturday the day before the Warrington match fortunately.
Only club still waiting for new shirt's, we have ordered one of these, we have been told the end of Feb for delivery - BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT.
If I managed my place of work as poorly as this I would soon be out of a job.

Send an email to Mick Hogan at the club. He;ll almost certainly reply. I don't know if he'll be able to appease you or indeed shed any light on what has happened, but he seems like a decent bloke and he seems like he's got a lot of time for fans who present their arguments/complaints in an adult and articulate manner.

Worse thing is, the club SHOULD already be progressing with the designs for next years new shirt. If not, the lack of replica kit will be repeated.

I too had to provide proof of age for my 16yr old (still at high school in Y11) I explained that i don't live in wigan and they allowed my suggestion to scan in his passport and email it to them, booklet arrived next day!
I asked the question that surley his details from prior seasons would be on the system, but they said they don't have access to old records of this type and needed to re-gather info. Why then did no-one say owt when i went in person to buy the tickets in the 1st place?
