It's a great shame isn't it... he said he has quit because people do not fully understand his complaint and he would become the subject of ill formed opinion.
He's been a great player since his arrival last year, he really gave the forwards the kick they needed and I for one will be sad that he'll never wear the cherry and white again.
Whilst I can understand why he has done it I'm very sad at this news, he's been fabulous for us and I wish him all the best for his future health and happiness and I can only wish that the jerk at the News of the World who saw fit to adversely publicise the matter and get everyone hitting the panic button is hounded out of his job in similar fashion very soon. I know its a serious condition but the guy was more of a threat to his opponents before the diagnosis was made than he is now. Good luck Q you were a revelation!
If you want to post any tributes to Quentin, please do so on this thread.
Personally, I thought Quentin is one player that has exceeded all expectations since arriving at the Warriors. I am very sorry he has had to retire at this point, as I fully expected him to continue with his massive performances. I was looking forward to him returning and helping the club reach the Grand Final to cap his career.
I would like to wish Quentin good luck in whatever he truns to next.
Best wishes to Quentin in whatever he decides to do in the future, and also good luck in recovering totally from Hepititis B. He's a player I thought we should have signed earlier in his career, I have good memories watching him play for NZ, and I'm glad we got to see his skill in the Cherry and White towards the end. A hard, solid player but also more than capable of offloading and putting in useful kicks who gave us a massive boost last year.
I hope he sticks around a bit longer to guide Danny Sculthorpe and the other young props, I'm sure they can learn a lot from him in training.

You are a Tower of Strength to me" - Wayne Hussey, The Mission.

I'm sorry to see Quentin go under these circumstances, obviously it's not the way he would have wanted to end his playing career, it's a pity he couldn't have played this season out. He has conducted himself with dignity over these last few weeks and I wish him good luck for the future whatever he does. He has been consistently good for us. Hope we get a chance to see him before he goes.
He will be missed at Wigan.
I agree with everything thats been said about Q he has served Wigan well in the short time he has been here good luck with whatever you decide to do in the future
Yes a sad day. I wish Quentin all the best for the future. He really beefed up the pack last year which was what carried us to the grand final. But my best memory of Quentin,s time at Wigan will be the chip kick to Carney to score at Knowsley Road last year.
i Wasnt sure about it when we first signed him but he has been a good solid player for us this year.his offloads are good and he knows how to run sraight at the line hard.i too remember that chip to brian it was superb. What a shame for him to have to end his career on this note a real shame. good luck to him whatever he decides to do.. :eusa2:
