I find this comment very strange, why isn't he considering Mossop for the first team at Wigan ?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

Why is it that this lad is so highly reguarded in Huddersfield (a team far higher up in the table than us) that they are fighting to keep him there, where he can just wlak straight into a first team place, yet he cant get a spot at Wigan???? Its barmy!!!
Wish list: Billy Slater please!!!!!!!!

i'm sure he's equally highly reguarded in wigan. the problem is he's playing in a position where we are very strong. he may turn out to be better than the likes of hansen and also bailey may leave. there's a good chance he'll be in the top 17 at wigan next year. especially as he's now getting SL experience.cherrywarrior wrote:Why is it that this lad is so highly reguarded in Huddersfield (a team far higher up in the table than us) that they are fighting to keep him there, where he can just wlak straight into a first team place, yet he cant get a spot at Wigan???? Mossop is enjoying himself tremendously at Huddersfield. Apparently the 1 to 1 coach is very impressive. He is a brilliant player for 14 to 17 because he can play front row or back row. I think he will eventually be a front rower.
Re: "Lee is developing more playing for Huddersfield than he is for...
A front rower yes. But where CP. God I hope it's Wigan but with the way we part company with players I have my doubts.
Strange that two players (One transferred and one on loan) now relish the coaching at other clubs, which they presumably didn't get at home.

Mossop Extends Giants Stay
The Wigan Club have agreed to extend the loan spell of back row forward Lee Mossop at Huddersfield.
The 20-year-old Cumbrian has made three appearances for the Giants in his initial month-long spell, which ended today but is now extended on a week-to-week basis.
Huddersfield coach Nathan Brown said: "It's great news for the club as he's a young player that can certainly help us and it's a win-win situation for both the Giants and Wigan.
"I'm grateful to Wigan chairman Ian Lenagan, who has allowed us to keep a player of Lee's talent, and they know that when he returns he will be a more rounded player through playing Super League games."

Mossop is better off at Huddersfield for the rest of this season.
If he came back to Wigan under Noble his development would stop. He would not get the game time or the coaching expertise he is getting at the Giants.
Lets face facts. We have to write this season off.
Noble will be here till his contract expires. We will be asking the same questions re selection week in week out for the remainder of the season.
Lets give him the development opportunity at Huddersfield, and hopefully next season he will step into the Bailey / Hansen slot a much better player than the one we initially loaned out.

Agreed. It's the best place for him simply because he'll get a chance to play, thats something that wouldn't happen here and even if it did it would only be for a game or 2 until he got the drop for an older head wheather his place be deserved or not.
Let him stay there until the end of the year and hope that we get a new coach in who'll appreciate his and the other younger players talents more then Noble does.
