Briscoe

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Briscoe

Not really a rumour but more an honest answer to an asked question. I was surprised but quite pleased that 'long term' he'd like to see himself back with us.

Mr Lenagan take note and sort it out please

Wigan are my hometown club and long-term I'd love to play for them again, so I would never say never. But I don't know if they need a full-back at the moment because I think Cameron Phelps is doing a good job for them. I'm really enjoying myself at Rovers and I'm trying to help them build towards success.

Best full back in the league, that still should be at wigan,

unfortunate, he would've been second fiddle to Radlinski as he was at the end of his career and briscoe was just establishing himself, still love to see him back.

Totally agree it breaks my heart to seem him run onto a ball and score. One of the worst crimes committed by the club.Would love to see him back in the cherry and white.Even at the expense of Phelps whom I personally like very much. :D

Couldn't agree more, Phelps is doing a great job at FB but Briscoe is just something else....

I just think he really wants to play for us again, just reading the interview makes me think he is still really passionate about the Club and would walk to Wigan for a chance to play for us again.

Apparently he had the chance to play for us before he signed for Hull KR and turned us down as we could not match their wages at the time we had only 40K on the cap.

Was that when Noble summed it up by saying "we offered him a chocolate bar but they offered him a chocolate factory"

don't blame briscoe for not coming if we didn't offer him the wages he wanted, he's a world class full back and a good attacking fullback too. he has to make the money to live off, it's not as though he's terrible and expects a shed load of cash. if the wages were right he'd come.

Nobody's blaming Briscoe for turning us down if we cant pay the player what he is worth.
