Tomkins v.Myler???

Post by Webby1971 »

Reference was made on several occasions last night as to Tomkins v. Myler for the England scrum half role? Am I missing something here or has Sam not played Stand Off all season as he did last week in his MOM performance. So surely the question should be Tomkins v. Mcguire who I must add was very quiet last night and maybe Myler v. Eastmond for the Scrum Half role.

i would have tomkins and eastman because myler wasnt good last night and eastman looked far better than him when he came on ,but smith will stick with myler for obvious reasons :conf: and to be honest the aussies will probably tear us to pieces

I agree, Eastmond and Tomkins will be cause the Aussies more trouble than Myler and Mcguire. Mcguire has under performed on several occassions against them.

I think the real change should be Eastmond for the Cas centre who was completely anonymous last night. The only time our left winger got the ball was from a French pass. Yes the convicts will tear us to pieces next week.

the real question is who do you think aus n nz fear the most?

sure a read some where in the week that aus were studying sam as he looks very dangerus!not heard them mention.....whats his name again...erm...dick myler, thats the 1!

at the end of the day sam should b wrapped in cotton wool till next season for the warriors and then he can really make kevin sinfield cry instead of havin a lump in his throut:D sam has all the time in the world to break into the england team, why rush him puttin preasure on him in his 1st season
you can't keep a good team down!!!

Alot of Saints fans will tell you Eastmond is more a Centre or Full back than a scrum half or Stand off. At first I was gutted that Sam hadn't been picked for England, but now I'm thinking, Sams time will come, and Sam deserves a rest in the off season. Now I've said that, he'll be starting against the Aussies! I
Wigan Till I Die!!

We've had Barrett and Kenny, Edwards and Hanley, Boston and 8 IN A ROW!!!

I would have Tomkins in Mylers place but Eastmond is better off the bench when opposition are tiring. We will have to stick with Mcguire although he is only average.

Totally agree I just wish we had Hock available he would have been the ideal player to unlock Ozzie defense-but i'll just dream on.
