Re: Binder and his east stand drum
We need this type of orchestra instead of a drum, obviously the song choice will change:

Re: Binder and his east stand drum
There wasnt even the ritual clap and chant as the team came on to the pitch.mickw wrote:it was just one of those nights, most felt sorry for the opposition ,no-one to sing at no result in the balance,be different next week up a gear or two on and off the pitch.
I simply found it strange. I started to clap in the usual way and the lack of a drum beat meant no one else joined in.
We need to raise the roof on Friday.

The drumming used to do my head in but I pretty much got used to it now and can see the benefit.

Re: Binder and his east stand drum
Actually we all missed the noise from the East stand, let's hope it's more normal on Friday.
The whole ground was oddly quiet, but not because Wigan weren't playing well, because they were. The lack of a credible opposition might be one factor, and certainly the lack of a crowd from Wales. That said the gate wasn't too bad, and will swell with other teams away support, and a bit more reason to attend from the more occasional Wigan fan.
Apparantly we've sold more season tickets this year though I didn't see it mentioned anywhere here. Perhaps we are slowly on track to realise Mr Lenagan's hope for an average gate of 20,000. Let's hope so, the game is fantastic and deserves the best.

Lack of chants, or at least chants everyone knows is a bit of an issue.
Everyone used to know the Terry Newton and Kris Radlinski songs.
