An old fashioned ball playing loose forward!!!!!

Post by cpwigan »

Lockers IMO has always been an all round players and an outstanding one. For far too long, many people have seen him as just a workhorse, even a second rower. Watch the game closely and the number of times he is creative and playmaking is akin to an old style LF and fans do him a disservice when they just label him great defensively.

Class act!!!

:eusa2: I couldn't agree more. From a skills point of view much of what he does his textbook and you can tell that he has been taught well from an early age.

Seems to me he's being allowed to be more creative under the new regime.

He is having more of a free reign with the pack playing as ateam and sharing the workload not doing as much tackling and more in attack.

Can't help thinking that now he is not permanently Captain he seems more comfortable. I certainly think he has played better consistently under the new regime.

The lad was awesome tonight. Both going forward and in defence. Looks like taking the sole captaincy off him has relieved him to play more freely?

Lockers looks to be the more complete player. Top class.

When Riddell went off and Tommy went to hooker did Lockers move to 6 or 7?

If not, who did?

It isn't the new coaching staff that has seen O'Loughlin become more creative. He was the top assist making loose forward in superleague in 2009 and is leading the way again in 2010.

He is simply a fantastic rugbyleague player who can do abit of everything. I'm sick to the back teeth of defending him on rlfans to opposition fans who say he's just a workhorse. He is far more then that and is the best loose forward in England by quite a way at the moment.

Super player.
