Really disappointed I couldn't get to the game tonight BUT, watched the second half on tv and it seemed like a battle but our fitness showed in the end. Doesn't matter about Leeds' injuries we had several people out of position tonight.
Sam should be ok I think they said thigh/knock on head. McIlorum is fine but a nasty gash/cut on his head may need stitches. Coley is a doubt though didn't appear in the second half.
Fielden 5 knock on's but at l;east one from what I saw was ripped out. Few minutes after Ganson spoke to Stu he shouted "are we friends now?" Stu screamed YEAH! Just unlucky tonight I guess.
We stand alone at the top. Warrington are right on us though.
Well. Isn't it good to know that even when it all goes a bit pear shaped early
doors, we still got ourselves together and defended like we did. It's a real credit to the lads.
And really good to see Lulu leading like he did when Sam went off. Chuffed really cos it nearly was a mess of a game

"But look at, look at Lydon go here...Remniscent of those two great tries when he won the Lance Todd... He's got Hanley inside him. He's going all the way..........."
Good result in the end. Fielden unlucky at times. Piggy played wel when he was on. On their last disallowed try was it me or was the burrow knock on really clear?
Gareth Thomas before his first game: "You wanna spend 10 mins getting smashed up by these guys..Big dudes here.."
Tremendous team performance, eventually cruising to a win despite Ganson and the injuries to McIlorum, Tomkins, Riddell & Coley - looked like we were running out of bodies at the end but always looked the better side. First half in particular Leeds couldn't make any forward progress except with Ganson's help.
Difficult to pick a clear MoM, I don't think there was a single poor performance amongst our lads - I'd give it to Goulding not just for his tries but the amount of work he got through in both attack and defence, especially late on when the forwards were all out on their feet with the tremendous effort they'd put in all game.
The flags look good, too - 2 or 3 new ones I think.

I think Mr Ganson is showing his true colours and will get worse as we get better.
Lee Mossop got a good few monster hits in, too. That lad just keeps getting better and better.
Big credit too for Sam crawling back to drop on a loose ball near our line just as he was about to be subbed. Reminded me of that famous quote from Shaun Edwards, that someone has as their sig.

I sometimes think we're our own worst enemy with Ganson. He loves to prove his point and makes a real effort to show players that he's the boss (rightly or wrongly). Fielden was being idiotic thinking he could talk Ganson round. He really should have shut up. What he was protesting about was that the ball was ripped out, which it was but Gansen loves a challenge and he ain't afraid of making decisions when it comes to players' discipline. If we shut up and get on with it I honestly believe he'll give us more of a free rein.
Having said all that.... It is Ganson and I might be miles off!!

With Ganson a non player really needs to take him to task re his manner when talking to players. His schoolmaster antics are frowned upon and he needs to be knocked down a peg or two.
He always goes after players, particularly big names/reputation. He did it to Lockers a few years ago and he did it tonight IMO.
