Amos' injured leg

Post by Sutty »

Just got back from the match, obviously there'll be nothing concrete yet. I was just wondering if anyone had heard any more news about Amos' leg? He seemed in a bad way when he was stretchered off and these players don't stay down for nothing.
Hope he's ok, he's flying this season.

Any news on Amos

It did not look and given how well he has been playing it would be a great loss if he is out for any length of time.

Especially going at full tilt and with a 14st+ defender hanging on the end of the leg. Broken leg was my first thought, but obviously couldn't tell for certain from the stands.

If he has broke it, how long would he be out for?

Depends where the break is, potentially out for the season if it's as bad as it looks.

As Geoff says, it all depends on where the break is, the type of break etc. If it's a straight forward fracture of the tibia of fibula, then it may only be 8 weeks or so. If it's a bad break then it could well be season over :( . Just been told by a Saints fan that Eastmond went off today with a bad looking injury as well. Without him on Friday, they would have looked even more inept.

Suspect injuries everywhere this weekend, Long apparently on crutches at Hull.
Will this injury to Amos mean Ainscough gets a shout?
