well we've been waiting for over 10 months for the club to make a statement. we got told it would be in a couple of weeks then at the end of january then feb/march but then Newton got done so it got delayed. never know with Melbourne being done on the cap the club might delay an announcement further for some rubbish reason

This was before McGuire became coach though,The only way Hock is going to get a contract is by being good enough for the team once his ban expires,it would not make sense to give him a contract now because it may turn out that we do not need him.

We need him with us a lot more than we need him against us.

He is a world class attacking player whom we still need and is still in huge demand by numerous clubs.

I must admit I have never been Hock's biggest fan and with all of our options at the moment think that there is no need to rush into anything with regards to him. No matter what training you do 2 years is still an awful long time out of the game as well.

His brain explosions often made him a liability and he has never been the most clever of players. There is though no denying that on his day he is a very strong running forward that can break the line but for me he often had more poor matches than good ones. In my opinion J Tomkins is a better, more controlled version of Hock without the brain explosions.

If we did re-sign him I would certainly only offer him a low contract which was nothing like he was on previously. If he didnt accept then let him sign elsewhere.

I take your point, but I'd still rather have him playing for us than against us.

With Dobby on this one, also we have Mossop who is shaping up to be the player Hock will never be add to that H and we have a sound 2nd row, all Hock will bring is disruption to a well oiled machine.

Mossop will end up at prop. I don't think many people would agree with your comparison of Hock Mossop.

Hock as a prop or not at all. He doesn't pass the ball enough for me when he should and we have some exciting young options in the 2nd row, I thought Farrell was excellent on Friday.
With regard to the re sign in general Wigan RL should have better standards then to resign him. I know that has been endlessly discussed but I'm new to this posting lark
