Is anybody else
That was one of the most aggessive atmospheres I have witnessed in 30 years or more of watching live sport and had nothing to do with support.
Left at 0930 because my partner had a run in with one young suppoter who "objected" with the support of his mates to us asking him to stop banging the seat behind us in time with the drumming.
The stewards don't do anything because and I quote a senior steward "the drums are what the club want".
Thoughts and comments please.

Totally out of order. Contact Mick Hogan and let him know what happened. Not that I advocate violence but these obnoxious scrotes need sorting.

It was so maddening... And what happened during this spell of drumming and barmy army.... Quinns go on top....

Well I would say a certain section of that stand were not there to watch the game tonight. They were just not in tune (no pun intended) with what was going on.
They struck up the barmy army chant which went on long enough for my son (who loves to join in with the singing) to say he'd wish they'd shut up.
The problem with the minutes silence came from there too. Same "fans" I am sure.

We sit 3/4 up in the east stand about half way between touch and the posts as we like to see the shape of the teams and the plays. Further down the drumming / chanting was just annoying, up there was well it was my moniker explains .
Behaviour has been going downhill all season, guess which 2 x early 40 somethings won't be taking their 4 and 6 year old sons to the Cas game and despite being season ticket holders will prob be last home game tonight unless the club do something.
Mike Hogan apparently checks this site - well considering their have been several posts about poor behaviour home and away nothing has been done. I'll mail him and see what he says but platitudes is all I expect.

Re: Is anybody else
I used the "scrum" part of my season ticket to bring six people to the game. They were sat in the West Stand towards the South Stand. When we met up after the game, they were complaining about the din, and I doubt if they will come again. They are not old fogies four were in their twenties, one aged forty and one in their fifties.
Re: Is anybody else
It is time for some sort of reserved seating in the South stand. Have half of the stand reserved seating and half not and make this half a 'singing/chants' section where fans can still go and chant and do whatever else they want to do. This means that people can still get reserved seat season tickets in the South stand where they arent going to be annoyed and the yobs can act like idiots without annoying anyone else. Everyone is then happy.

Re: Is anybody else
No they are not! I live 120 miles away so cannot get to as many games as I would like, so no point in a season ticket. When I do go, I like to be able to sit with my mate, who is a South stand season ticket holder. Why should I have to sit in the area you have proscribed for scrotes just because I live away from Wigan?Dobby wrote:It is time for some sort of reserved seating in the South stand. If you want to reserve a seat, sit in the East or West stands.
