Mike. When I was at school in 1968, I held a seance one lunchtime at which we asked who would win the FA Cup. WBA came the reply. Everyone laughed thinking I had been taking the piss. This was early January but Jeff Astle (RIP) went on to beat Everton 1-0. Goalkeeper John Osborne played on with a broken hand. I've had a soft spot for them ever since.

Baggies now, but I'm sure they were the Throstles back then?

Always the Baggies but recognise the Throstles.... particularly for the older fans (unlike the youth like me of 43!!!) when the Woodcote corner was still there with the model of a throstle on the scoreboard.
Still the succsessful days of WBA and Wigan RL combining have ben very rare...
I really should check those Lotto numbers!!!!

You forgot one important matter! Our boys turned the Saints over in the Under 20s Grand Final (in the last meaningful competitive game).
