Riversiders End of Season Dinner
Another fantastic success. Well done to the all the people involved in arranging the night. Had a marvelous time and thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
The minutes silence for Mark Evans was very touching from the wonderful rugby league family.
Thank you ladies and gents

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Riversiders End of Season Dinner
Great night again, thank you to the Riversiders committee for organising another smashing End of Season Dinner. The artist last night, IMO, was the best we have had yet.
Can I also mention Mike Thorley, MiThor, I cannot thank him enough for the beautiful flower display he gave me.
He presented these to me as a thank you for running the sponsorship for this site for the last two years.
Once again Mike, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU
xx

The awards last night were;
Under 18's Player of the Year - Greg Burke
Under 20's Player of the Year - Sam Powell
Forward of the Year - Sean O'Loughlin
Runner up was Lee Mossop
Special Award was made to Bill Ashurst for services to RL up & coming young players
Player of the Year - Sam Tomkins
Runner up George Carmont
3rd Sean O'Loughlin
Two awards were given to the players leaving the club this year Andy Coley, retiring from playing* & Ryan Hoffman returning to the NRL.
Well deserved awards for everyone
*Andy Coley has been offered & accepted a role at the club, not sure what his title will be but it is working with the up & coming young players at Wigan & at the Pembec school.

Makes it more relevant with "State of Mind" coming more prevelant within Rugby League.
