1/04/12: Wigan Academy Vs Salford 18's

Post by Genius1678 »

Wigan Warriors U18's make their 1st official home appearance of the year at Orrell Co-Operative Stadium tomorrow, Sunday 1st April at 12pm. The game will see a a very young team built around the U16s scholarship squad from last year.

It is a very good opportunity to see Matty Peets and Paul Deacons new squad perform!

Get down if you can, 12pm KO! :D

As a group the new intake are collectively the most talented the club has secured for a few seasons. Two fantastic halves in Hampshire and Williams.

Correct, and Lever looks to be a player for the future, although I believe he played in the U20's last night. Burgess has a lot of potential, but I'm not sure if it is at wing or fullback.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Burgess has scary potential. A relative RL novice but very tall and yet still pacey for a winger. I loved his tackle on the Saints No 13 in the U16 clash last sdeason.

Yes, that tackle on Andre Sevlko made me sit up and wander. His third try today made me sit up and say wow.
