Saints want Finch
Apparently Nathan Brown wants him to bring on lomax and gaskell

Tell Nathan Brown to do one. Some of us haven't forgotten the Micky Higham debacle!

Re: Saints want Finch
Why would Finchy consider leaving our club for something of an inferior nature.Don't believe he will even give it a second thought.

Re: Saints want Finch
He's already in talks with us about a new contract

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

The guy plays like his life depends on it, he is class. He's going nowhere.

Even so, I'll breathe a sigh of relief when he has put pen to paper. That said, with what is coming off our cap at the end of the season, I can't see Stains outbidding us. They can't afford to finish off their stadium!

If there's one thing with Finchy it's that he's openly stated how the Wigan Way and the Wigan Fans have taken him on. The way he talks is that he's now got a home from home where he's loved and has Captained the team against our biggest rivals.
I think he genuinely loves playing in front of us and boy oh boy do I like watching some of his passes. Sheer, unadulterated class.
I think that it'd take an enormous deal for him to move away from us and even then he'd feel guilty about it.
He will resign. He's said he'd like to and only a fool would not work something out. It's a matter of when not if IMO.

With Tommy leaving - it's a no-brainer.
Get him signed.
Get him signed.

Re: Saints want Finch
People who think loyalty will play a massive part are a bit delusional i'm afraid. we all want to think the players feel the same as we do about the club, but at the end of the day if he is offered more money to play elsewhere then he will play elsewhere. He will still like his time at Wigan and think we were great whilst he was here, but if someone offers more money he will go. I don't see how Saints would be in a position to offer more money when they have two first team ready kids and hohaia, whereas we have finch and some young players still learning. We need him more and should have more room in budget to spend on half backs.

Spot on. Finch has always been a "mover" two or three years at a club. He'll be after the last big contract he's going to get and will go to the highest bidder.markill wrote:People who think loyalty will play a massive part are a bit delusional i'm afraid. we all want to think the players feel the same as we do about the club, but at the end of the day if he is offered more money to play elsewhere then he will play elsewhere.
