Just tootling with numbers.

Post by Ron Doran »

Warriors have scored 838 against 341, which is an average score each game of 38 - 15.
If they were to get to 1000 points in the season then, for the remaining 5 matches, they would have to register, on average, 53 points.
Can it be done?

Check your maths.
1000 points minus 838= 162
5 games to go means 33 points per game to get to the 1,000.
That can be done.

No straw damn us -Well spotted. My typing.
Nothing significant about 1000 points. It just seems to be a target out of reach.

Didn't Wigan score over a thousand points back in the '80's-'90's?

Wire scored 1072 last season (regular). Which is 39 points a game.

To catch up to them we need to put on 234 in our last 5 games. Thats 47 (46.8) a game. I don't think this is possible we stil have wire and saints to play. Both have good d-fence. We will be playing will to score 30 points in each of them games.

1,000 points would be nice, but am I the only one who thinks that the top spot might not be secured yet?
Footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured. Rugby League players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not.
