Micky Mac

There was intent and IMO was a red card.

Never been a fan of him, massively over rated and a very short fuse that cost the lads the game.

Funny that Kol as walking back to the car park my wife and I had a conversation with four saints supporters who would and did disagree with you.Two said that Childs over-reacted and should remember that this was always going to be an heated affair between two of the fiercest local rivals. No consistency with the refs.Even going as far as to tag Scarsbrooke as a thug. Now I confess to not being close enough to the action to see everything nor was I privy to catching it on the big screen as my wife was constantly asking me what was that for I never got the chance to see it properly. But rightly or wrongly Micky Mac as been one of our best players this season.Always taking it to the big boys or taking a backwards step.Wigan are a much better team with him in it than out of it.Also it was nice to hear the saints supporters admit that we where the much better team despite the loss. :D

Amazes me how a referee and touch judges can always see a foul offence BY a Wigan player but never ON a Wigan player.

Having said that, it would appear that Mcllorum is becoming a marked man by match officials and begs the question 'Should the club be looking for a alternative player?' as at times he is a liability.

I fully agree Kooch and some on here think the sun shines out of James Robey's backside.
Personally I have never seen Robey have a good game when he has been up against Michael McIlorum.
For his size it doesnt show as he hits well over his weight.
I know which hooker I would have in my side.

MM has a short fuse but that is part of what makes him the player he is in terms of intimidating opposing 9's and other forward such as Bailey from Leeds. Yes he let the lads down but for me it could be a blessing, one game suspension hopefully in which we will still beat Cats and he therefore gets a rest and comes back with a point to prove, that is a dangerous MM! How anyone can say he is overrated is beyond me, if anything he is underrated!

I wish we had Roby, now theres a man who tackles well above his weight..and will play the 80.

Kol makes an interesting statement AND he is not alone because on RLFANS many of our supporters and those of other clubs seem to be able to determine INTENT. Whether the sending off was right or wrong IMO you can never determine INTENT.

The only thing I will say is Micky Mac should be more careful, because from now on he will be watched by all the Refs and will be goaded by the opposition.
Perhaps he should have a craick with Gareth Hock, who handles himself a lot better these days and is a better player as a result.
The one bitch I have from last night is the way Lance Hohaia got away with so many infringements.

True what you say about Robey Cow Yeds and I agree.
Micky is well capable of playing effectively the full 80 minutes as he has proven.
In your opinion, barring last night, how many of these recent matches has Robey played better than Micky Mac when opposing each other, your honest opoinion please.

Mcilorum is a good player but not a great one and he is becoming a liability.
