Some real positives

Post by cpwigan »

Whatever the final result, had we won, lost or drawn as we did;

The team collectively stood up to, at times dominated a top drawer team in Wire.

Micky Mac at times looks like he has added an extra level to his attack around the POTB and is threatening the line.

Both halves played excellent games.

Daz Goulding continues to show some top drawer class particularly offensively.

Ian Thornley looked very much a first team centre defensively.

I thought Taylor did well bar his defensive weakness which is something he / Wigan need to / will work on.

Liam Farrell shows himself to be a future replacement for all action Lockers.

We gave a potential FUTURE captain his debut tonight.

Totally agree :eusa2: :eusa2:

Well done to the Ginger Pearl :)
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

We certainly did. Don't want to go overboard on this but tonight could have seen one illustrious forward's career begin as the sun set on several others!

I thought Taylor did well. I was concerned about him as he didn't do so well in the friendlies. Glad to see in a big game he stood up really well.

Well I was chuffed to bits with a draw...I actually didn't think much of wigans chances with a practically new team.
but am glad to be proved wrong, and stevo,Hemmings,Clarke and Carney have more faces than Wigan Parish church clock.

For the first 15 minutes or so they did their best to run Wigan down...for being too young..too inexperienced or too English...take your pick, and when Wigan started to dominate they didn't know what to say.......priceless!!

WELL DONE WIGAN!!!....if we keep that up we have nothing to fear.. :eusa2: :eusa2:

He is. Intelligent level headed well grounded young man with a similar RL brain. RL is ingrained in his DNA like Liam Faz and like the Aussies.
