Former rugby league star Sean Long accused of attacking disabled woman in her home
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I was reading this before work this morning and thought to myself have I got anything nice to say about him. After some deliberation I concluded that I did not have anything nice to say about him.Now after a days work I have come to the conclusion that now'ts changed he's still a sh*t house.

'Moron' sums him up. If, as a drunken teenager you had struck out at a girl and broke her jaw, you'd hope to God that people would have forgotten about it by the time you reached your 30s.Wigan's No. 2 Fan wrote:Glad Wigan got shot of this moron

He as not been found guilty of this alleged attack and people should show caution as to what they are writing on here. I would urge people to use some common sense.

Former rugby league ace Sean Long is cleared of assaulting disabled mum-of-five
Former rugby league star Sean Long was “happy and relieved” after he was cleared of throttling a disabled mum-of-five.
Long, 37, was accused of storming into Pamela Twist’s home in Rainford, Merseyside, in a row over unpaid rent on his home in Wigan.
But the former Great Britain and St Helens player claimed he was working out at a gym at the time.
Sean Joyce, defending, argued Ms Twist had been motivated by vindictiveness when Long contacted the police over goods missing from his home.
District Judge Ian Lomax told St Helens court Ms Twist’s “reluctance to answer basic questions” reduced her credibility.
Clearing Long of common assault he added: “You don’t have a full alibi, but I have to give you the benefit of the doubt.”
Following the verdict, Long's manager Graeme Taylor told The Mirror: “It has been a very traumatic 18 months and Sean is happy and relieved with the District Judge’s outcome.
“He would like to get on with his life and hopes it is the end of the matter.”
