Re: Kevin Locke to Salford
Said this last week in Rumour Mill

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Kevin Locke to Salford
Looks like Neil Barker was right then.
Wonder if we got offered his services first, with it being our partnership club and all

Yeah shame here Josie. I was being sarcastic towards the partnership more than anything.
To be honest, it looks like we'll be giving Hampshire his chance either next season or the season after so I doubt we'd want him anyway. Sign a top 25 year old from the NRL on a 3 year deal and you may as well give Hampshire his P60.
FWIW I don't think Hampshire will make it as a Wigan full back. Stnad off nailed on but full back... no. Time will tell I suppose.

Ryan is defo a stand off, looking forward to seeing him in that position soon if Bowen stays another season as suggested.AdamMac wrote:Yeah shame here Josie. I was being sarcastic towards the partnership more than anything.

Ryan was the main man last night v Leeds, we need to keep him, he's our next Sam Tomkins IMO ????????

Re: Kevin Locke to Salford
I agree 100% Josie.
We've got some difficult decisions to make over this next year or two.

Great signing for Salford.
Re: Kevin Locke to Salford
Well that puts paid to the idea SL clubs can't sign top NRL talent at the peak of their careers (he will be 26 when he signs for them).

Re: Kevin Locke to Salford
Two words - salary cap.
The doc also mentions they have made another big signing this week and will reveal later in the season - will be interesting to see who that is and who is leaving them to make way under the so called salary cap they are subjected to! Unless of course he is betting that the RFL give into pressure and raise the cap.
