Wigan Warriors are delighted to introduce global sportswear manufacturer Erreà as the Club's new kit and retail partner.
The deal will see Erreà work with the Club over the next four years to provide playing and replica kit as well as a wide range of training, leisure and fashion wear. Formed in Italy in 1988, Erreà currently work with a variety of high profile sports teams including Parma FC, Norwich City FC and USAP in rugby union as well as a diverse range of sports including volleyball, handball, basketball and now Rugby League.
Sales Director Geoff Warburton said:
"Erreà come highly recommended from a number of other sports clubs that we have spoken with. They have long-standing relationships, in excess of 10 years, with most of their clients and it's easy to see why when you look at the quality of their offering. The deal is also a record kit deal for the Wigan Club and helps further enhance our reputation as a leading Club in global sport, both on and off the field."
Wigan Warriors Marketing Director Simon Collinson added:
"After discussions with a number of high profile global companies we were blown away by the quality and wide range of products that Erreà had to offer. Over the past 18 months we have been working hard behind the scenes to put structures in place which allow us to take our retail operation to a new level. We have conducted a lot of research, listening to fans and working with experts to develop an exciting plan which we are now starting to roll out.
"Ultimately we wanted to find a partner who would allow us to express our personal identity and reflect our individual nature, something which our fans told us was very important.
"We firmly believe that their flexible approach coupled with their strong designs and Italian flair means they are the ideal partner to help us serve the Wigan fans best and as well as the traditional kit and training wear we are really excited by the new range of products which have been developed for a much more diverse range of fans."
Erreà are one of the world's most innovative teamwear manufacturers. Despite their success, they remain a family owned company who value tradition while pushing the boundaries of design and new technologies.
The Italian-based giants are the only major international manufacturer producing goods in their own EU factories, with all designs coming from the company headquarters in Parma, northern Italy. They are also the only sportswear company in Europe to hold the prestigious Oeko-Tex 100 certification, which guarantees that their garments do not contain any harmful chemicals.
Michael Craddock, Export Manager and UK Head of Rugby for Erreà commented:
"We are delighted to be the new Official Technical Partner of Wigan Warriors.
"When we decided to expand our rugby interests into England, we knew it was important to find the right Club to partner with. From the first meeting we had with Wigan it was clear that we were a perfect match, not just because Wigan are the most successful team in Rugby League history, but because they are a progressive and imaginative Club with one eye on tradition and the other looking two or three years ahead.
"As a result we were collectively able to develop a range of clothing that is contemporary and fashionable, while never losing sight of a quintessentially Wigan look and feel.
"Everyone at Erreà are really looking forward to the next four years and we hope that Wigan fans will be as excited about what we create as we are."
As part of the deal Warriors World has undergone a refurbishment and a wide-range of new clothing and merchandise is now available, with much more due to be launched over the coming months. The new kits are scheduled to be released shortly and will be on sale before Christmas.

Warriors Partner with Erreà
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Cant be worse than International Sports Clothing.
I've never been 4xl in my life until ISC made the recent Wigan shirts.
EFB has been my usual size not 4xl.
Lets hope the new manufacturer gets the cherry colour right too unlike ISC did in their first hooped shirt effort.

Looking at the training and leisure wear the first team kit may be interesting to say the least. Also looking at the size for 4XL tight fitting may be an understatement.

Re: Warriors Partner with Erreà
not bought a top in 5 years thanks to sizing, sounds like i won't be buying one again
