Feeling old today

Post by Cleveland Pieman »

All the recent talk on the board has been doom and gloom. Cheer up with the memories of one of the greatest games and atmospheres ever.

It was twenty years ago today that we played in the classic Wigan v Hull Wembley final. Over 97000 fans, Brett Kenny, Fergie and the legendary Gill smile I can still remember even though I was at the other end of the ground. :D

Anyway back to the real world.....

If you remember it well, perhaps you could provide the team list and the half time score for the match stats on this site... (see the related match at the bottom of this page)

My memory isn't that good! I'll have to watch the video for that. Which I may well do come to think of it.

I remember the team list...

Edwards, Ferguson, Stephenson, Donlan, Gill, Kenny, Ford, Courtney, Kiss, Case, West, Dunn, Potter.
Subs (I think) Du Toit & Campbell.
Can't remember the half-time score though.

The boys played well that day, even Potter managed to sling a pass out Ferguson for his first try!
