Ok who has body swopped him and Richards. His conversions tonight were great. High point of a poor performance from the team.

Credit where it's due, those were two excellent touchline conversions and very important.
Well done Matty!

He never seems to click when paired with Powell for some reason

Re: Matty smith
Smith not clicking with Powell is probably due to Sam hardly ever playing 6. This is due to SW who won't rotate his halves.

Re: Matty smith
His kicking was fantastic from the touchline, but is that the full picture.
THE players had to graft last night, and did so to get up the pitch, but in the final 20 we struggled as we've done for some time.
I look to play makers like half backs to help break defence lines down and seldom see that with Matty.
We seemed to favour our left side attack more last night, but against cudjoe and mcgilvery was that the best option.
Are these options taken up by the halves or are they set by the coach.
Would Manfredi taking on foster not have been a better option on the flank, especially with foster being out of SL class rugby league for a while.
Last night we must have had two of the slowest half backs paired together, was that not a concern to Wane.

Re: Matty smith
Converting tries cost us dear last season and he said he has been putting a lot of practise in and it showed last night. Well done Matty

Matty Smith, Josh Charnley & George Williams have all been receiving kicking tips from Jonny Wilkinson (lifelong Wigan fan).
