Season Ticket Exchange

Post by Mike »

Listening to GMR and reading this message board, it is clear there is a small split amongst Wiganers at the moment.

Can I suggest all those who want to burn/rip up/return their season tickets don't do so. Instead, they could give them to other fans who want them. This would actually deprive money from the club, and so would help your protest even more, whilst helping other fans attend more matches.

Anyone interested? Post here.

Good one Mike! I've got two friends who would love them - they've been paying per game so far, and are going to get season tickets for next year.

I was just thinking as I read Ian's post that it would be a waste of money throwing away your season ticket, not quite as stupid if you find a new home for it.

We could set up a good deal. All the “supporters of the club who would like to throw away or burn there tickets please give to “the true supporters so that we may distribute them to needy people who cant afford them….as for me…….well you could not take my season ticket from my cold dead hand ! :sly:
we don't stop playing because we grow old ....... we grow old because we stop playing

Or those South Standers who have always fancied an upgrade to East Stand but just didn't want to fork out the extra cash may now get the chance for that HW line view they always wanted!!!

Being a Spion Kopite and now a South Stander I just can't watch the match from the side. I can't see the gaps - all I seem to see is guys running at a line and sometimes they come out the other side. Its much better between the sticks. I thought the main reason a lot of the crowd watched from the side at CP was because the bar was there?

I often wonder if coaches would be better watching from a full-back's eye view?

I'm with you Mike. We had seats in the Whitbread/BillyBoston Stand and then in the South Stand. I have been in the East Stand a couple of times but can honestly say I have never enjoyed the matches from that viewpoint. We haven't had a season tickets for a couple of seasons now because the seats are not reserved in the South Stand; I don't know why this is. There were five of us trying to get seats together which, on certain match nights was almost impossible unless you arrived there an hour before kickoff.

The main reason I moved from South to East was because of the reseved seating - I go for the game, not the pre-match wotsits, and hated having to leave the pub early to get decent seats.
If they ever make the South reserved I'll be back in there like a shot. Better atmosphere in the South too!
