Do Hull have a salary cap? More to the point do most other clubs or is it just us?RIVAL CLUBS SET TO SHOW GREEN THE MONEY
While the Storm may gain the big man, they are in danger of losing one of their in-form little guys – Blake Green.
Several rival NRL clubs have expressed interest in the much-improved Green and he has just fielded a big offer from English club Hull FC.
Motu Tony, Hull’s football manager, has been down under recently on a recruitment drive.
A five-eighth is Tony’s top priority – and Green, who had a successful stint with Wigan before joining the Storm, would fit the bill nicely.

Re: Blake Green
Your username is actually quite ironic if you think Blake Green was useless for us! Having said that there are other 'Wigan' teams you could watch!!Wigan Watcher wrote:Let them have him. He was terrible for us

Re: Blake Green
Well unless the Sorm are paying Green a pittance by NRL standards how can any SL side compete for a first choice NRL half back?butt monkey wrote:To Hull..... apparantly

I tend to take these kinds of rumour articles with a pinch of salt but if Hull get him given our issues at half back then Rads should resign as football manager and it would highlight that we have some serious recruitment issues at the club.
And I don't mean not being able or willing to offer the right level of wages but it would show the club is either oblivious to the issues with the squad or that it is just not in the loop scouting-wise and has no clue as to who may be available. Maybe both.

Never liked this "going back" to a former club.
It didn't work out with Betts, hasn't so far with Mossop nor Joel T.

It seems like a strange story for a player who is first choice 6 at a side joint top of the NRL

Not really if his contract is running out his agent will drum up any thing to get him as much as he can from the Storm. Lockyer's did that for years.markill wrote:It seems like a strange story for a player who is first choice 6 at a side joint top of the NRL

Re: Blake Green
Signing Blake Green as a 26 year old was a shrewd move, signing him as a 30 year old wouldn't be.DaveO wrote:Well unless the Sorm are paying Green a pittance by NRL standards how can any SL side compete for a first choice NRL half back?butt monkey wrote:To Hull..... apparantly
