Challenge Cup Venues & Dates Announced
The venues for this year’s Ladbrokes Challenge Cup semi-finals have now been confirmed and both games will be broadcast live on the BBC.
Wigan Warriors, 19-time Challenge Cup winners, will play against league leaders Hull FC at the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster on Friday July 29 (BBC Two, 8.00pm). Last year saw the first-ever Friday night televised semi-final on the BBC between Leeds and St Helens which drew in a TV audience of over 1.3million.
This highly-anticipated clash between two of First Utility Super League’s in-form teams is sure to be one of the must-see games of the year.
The second semi-final, Warrington Wolves v Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, will be played at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday July 30 and will be televised live on BBC One with a 2.30pm kick-off.
Warrington have a strong record in the Cup having triumphed at Wembley in 2009, 2010 and 2012 whilst Wakefield are bidding to reach the Challenge Cup final for the first time since 1979. They last lifted the trophy 53 years ago with a Wembley win against Wigan.
Tickets will be available early next week and fans should visit their club’s website for further details.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: Challenge Cup Venues & Dates Announced
I'm not bothered about playing at Doncaster, it's just a Friday night + M62 ......nightmare
It's almost a 200 mile & 4 hours round trip for Wigan fans compared to a 92 mile & 1 1/2 hours round trip for Hull fans ????
Where is the fairness in that??
TV viewers are all they are interested in

Re: Challenge Cup Venues & Dates Announced
What a joke; Leeds is the mid point between Hull and Wigan! Hell I think Hull even had a Dual Contract agreement with Doncaster at one time owin to its relstive proximity.
Leigh is equally unfair to Wakefield.

Said exactly the same, Leeds or Huddersfield was equidistance, but for one team & its fans to have to do an almost 200 mile round trip compared to 92! The mind just boggles with the RFL ????????????
