Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I've never heard of him. Heard of both the TJs but not the ref. That's a first.

The new crop of refs coming through are doing really well, looks like the RFL may have finally created a pathway that works and brings them through. Thankless job and fair play to the new lads as few people remember a good game from a ref, and everyone has an opinion on where you got it wrong every single week.

The rucks have been too slow too often this year in my opinion. That is largely down to refs who are more used to doing games at a lower level. They do have to get experience though of course they can improve. It's great for most of the newer refs, they haven't made any calls that we as fans feel cost us games yet, so we don't all hate them yet!

Trust me, in a few years time Jack Smith, Chris Campbell and the rest will be useless as Child, as bent as Thaler etc. It's in our nature as sports fans passionate about our team to criticise refs.
