World Club Series in doubt as NRL clubs show little interest!

Got something to discuss about RL in general? Then this is the place to post it.

World Club Series in doubt as NRL clubs show little interest!

Post by josie andrews »

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

World Cup this year it's hardly a surprise the Aussies are backing out. I thought our clubs should have anticipated this and offered to go over there this time around.

You could argue 2 of them have and are offering to go over, pity neither are anywhere near the WCC this season.

Correct call from NRL clubs. World cup year and players need a rest. After all it's a glorified friendly and has been for a long while now.

This is why i cant take the WCC "achievement" seriously because the opposition dont.

I’ll say again I don’t like the timing of the WCC either it should be a battle royale set after each comps grand final,I suspect the result v crunella would have been very different if that’s the case,as it is it’s yes a glorified friendly one, again the NRL sides aren’t that bothered about

However much truth there is in that, I still think it's selfish and parochial of the Aussies.

We pay them to come here, dammit! And they can afford to splash out much more than we can. And yet they carry on as if they're doing us a favour!

And of course Bellyache shows (even) less interest than most in anything that's not the NRL. He's only ever sent kids over to the Auckland Nines, for example, when other Aussie sides have sent strong squads.

its because they lost ????
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.
