Gildart No longer wanted

Maybe the kick up the arse he needs, though still doesn't rule out Saints

That is interesting. So his wait and see could come back to bite him. He should stay put for a couple of years and concentrate on fulfilling his potential.

From the link posted above this is the interesting comment for me:

"Tigers recruitment manager Dave Warwick even checked out his form on a recent trip to the UK - but the club decided they are better off with Marsters."

Now I rate Gildart and think he will come good but is anyone surprised with Warwick's conclusion based on his form this season? Maybe Gildart will be a bit surprised and disappointed but if he thought it was automatic career progression to the NRL then he has just had a wake up call.

Marsters has been very good this season, to be fair.

For me I'd just let his contract run out, yes he'll get picked up by another side but it won't be Wigan. The next young lad might have second thoughts.
Same goes for Sutton, most sides would of dumped him years ago. Wigan have gave him every opportunity to prove himself.

Wrecking how exactly? Last time I looked we were second, effectively on points difference, during a decade which has provided far more highs than the one before he took over. In a world in which union and the NRL can out spend us and we are constrained relative to our SL players by the salary cap, we need every bit of leverage we can find.

When did they play Melbourne? ????????
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

None of the NZ Warriors players covered themselves with glory in the game against the Storm. I must have missed your comments on Gels performance against St. George. The try he scored and the try saving tackles he made. Gels left and we get Sarginson to replace him! Not a forward step.
