how good realistically are our youngsters?
imo, oloughlin has the potential to be a GB star but will likely be hindered by faz and could be our next potential sean long as he is 2 good to play reserve football
wild is good but same will suffer from lack of first team opportunities, whilst tickle who i think is just dire, defensively and offensively, gets the jumper...hmmmm...someone from above picking the team me thinks...
from the others its hard to see, bar sculthorpe any that are going to make gr8 headway in rugby league so that in 50 years time when we are all old (or in AJ's case) older men, and having the 'best wigan side uve seen' thread any of our 2003 youngsters will make the grade?

I think you are being a bit harsh on our youngsters.
O'Loughlin may well suffer a bit next season from selection problems, but he is versatile and is sure to get a decent run if any senior players pick up injuries.
Wild wasn't available at the end of last season, hence Tickle being ahead of him in the selection. This year with the absence of Furner, Cassidy aging (though still as good as ever last season) and the departure of some other hopefulls such as Stuart Jones, selection opportunties should be much more frequent this season.
I'm looking forward to Paul Johnson having his first injury-free season for ages this year, and showing us what he can do (if he can learn to hold onto the ball!). Hodgson is tipped by many to develop into a great centre, and young Luke Robinson looks capable of being groomed to succeed Adrian Lam went he returns down under.
I admit, that along the way several, perhaps many, of our youngsters will not make the grade. But the re is too much promise there to be pesimistic already.
