Re: Bateman back
Surely he will be a marquee so does that mean Hastings is going?

Great signing by IL & KR.
I'd imagine he will be fitted into the club's salary bill and cap without too much of a problem given the players rumoured to be leaving as well as those who have been conformed as left.

Re: Bateman back
I’m not sure how I feel about this
1 is the injury question let’s see how and if he returns for Canberra but 2 shoulder ops in quick succession isn’t great news - but having said that lee mossop did seem to get his biscuit shoulders fixed so maybe not
2 the bigger point probably that means both our marquee signings will be forwards - and Hastings will no doubt be leaving and with tommy retiring or worse going round again where does that leave us with half backs a pivot role
Again I don’t like to critique signings of class players (injury aside) but do we need a 2nd rower as much as we need a half back if Hastings leaves

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

Re: Bateman back
If his shoulder is ok it's a great signing.
There's confusion on social media that Hastings is not a marquee player and furthermore he's said he's going nowhere.
Make what you like of that, I'm just the messenger!

Batman returns !!!
Can't see any negatives in this - it will surely force a clear out in the forwards and we'll hopefully be stronger for the changes. Hopefully he can continue his development in the NRL for the rest of the season,

Why wouldn’t he be a marquee signing? Who else would it be this year currently as well as Burgess ?Wandering Warrior wrote: ↑Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:59 pm If his shoulder is ok it's a great signing.
