HIGAM SET TO JOIN

Post by TRICKY DICKY »

ACCORDING TO THE DAILY STAR ON 2 SEPERATE OCCASIONS LAST WEEK.

IT WAS IN THE PAPER ON TUESDAY AND FRIDAY WITH NEWTON OFF TO THE BULLS ON A 4 YEAR DEAL.

I PERSONALLY THINK WAGGA WAS OUR BEST HOOKER LAST SEASON ANYWAY.

But its no good if he is missing half a season out suspended.

His form in the 1st three quaters of this season was average at best.

He was totally outshone by godwin in that part of the year.

It was only when godwin got injured that newton recovered his form.

Do you think this is because he needs to play 80 mins each week to show his form.

But godwin gives us far more go forward and speed around the ruck in a similar fashion to higham at saints.

To have that speed all the game would be a useful weapon.

Newton is a great player but his temprament is now a big problem.

He has had his best days in my opinion. I wont be sad if he leaves.

Gowin is not a scrum half, he is a hooker and a good one at that.

Higham is more likely to cover scrum half than godwin.

Newtons temprament is his problem.

No one doubts his abillity.

BUT ITS NO GOOD HAVING A GREAT PLAYER FOR HALF A SEASON.

Im pretty sure Higam can play at centre so for cover he'd be great there i thought he played well for Saints the other night

Behind a dominant pack of forwards Terry Newton is as good as there is IMO. Both Terry and Cunnigham are by far the best hookers at setting up play, sending runners through gaps etc. Terry is the best hooker in the world as regards support play (I mean that even given my Wigan bias) Can you think of anybody better?

I like Godwin. He's a very industrious hooker who can scoot superbly. Both he and Alker are the hardest working hookers in SL.

Higham, fast, failed scrum half IMO. Not keen at all. Showy, makes himself look good but his team look bad

i don't think bradford need newton IMO. bradford have that henderson and he is performing top notch. he is really impressing me at the moment and is a stand out player.

They'd been even better with Terry bringing their powerhouses onto the ball :(

I think only for the off-season go see his family, and i'm pretty sure he's coming back in the next few months to join up with his team-mates again.
