Wigan Warriors’ DW Stadium has been hit with vandals several times in the past few years.
And, another window has been shattered on the glass frontage of the North stand at the DW Stadium, according to Wigan Today.
It’s the latest in a series of bizarre attacks on the home of Wigan Athletic and Wigan Warriors.
A stadium spokesperson said at the time: “We were disappointed that the DW Stadium was again subject to vandalism on Sunday, and we have reported the damage to the police.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the stadium has been subject to this kind of vandalism in the past 12 months, which is especially frustrating as we continue to look to invest in improvements to the stadium.”
A window was smashed in November 2020, but that wasn’t the first time it had happened as a hefty bill had to be picked up in January that year with vandals costing the club tens of thousands of pounds in repairs.
The DW Stadium was again targeted in July last year.
The criminal damage is believed to have been inflicted at around 7pm on Monday.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact police by calling 101.

Wigan Warriors’ DW Stadium hit by vandals
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

No doubt some of the latics old guard will blame warriors fans though in reality no warriors supporters would dream of vandalism towards their home turf
